The client gave us an informal brief stating they already had an established logo/brand but was looking to develop the identity more. He wanted to use the original Ramp World logo and fill it people skateboarding, scooting and BMXing, but we wanted to add a bit of a twist on the design to make it a little bit more quirky and relatable in skateboarding culture.
We wanted the illustrations to be messy and punk-inspired to contrast the humorous, light-heartedness of the concept of ‘skateboarding food’. The original Ramp World logo consisted of straight-lines and perfect curves, but it only made sense to match the visual style of the logo itself with the illustrations, so we reworked the logo in a more grungy way.
These designs have been used for stickers and other brand elements for Ramp World, Cardiff.
